Posted by Admin 0 CommentsHow-to Setup a Facebook Advertising Campaign in 3 Easy Steps
This is a quick guide on how to setup your Facebook advertising campaign. I have personally tested several Facebook advertising campaign with mix results, *but more on that later*. For now lets focus on how to setup an effective Facebook advertising campaign.
STEP1: Design Your Ad
Choose to create the ad to drive traffic to either your fan page, group, or website. Pretty simple, just give your new ad a title, ad a short copy write text, and upload your image. You will probably need to play around with the image size. Images are extremely important as part of your ad copy for Facebook. The difference between a great image and a crappy image can be the difference of a 20% ROI to 500% ROI. So make sure you pick an image that makes people want to click on your ads.
STEP2: Ad Targeting Info
You can target thousands or even millions people. The best is to focus the ad specifically by state or city. This should help get your local business on the map. Also once you place your targeting specifications, Facebook will let you know how many people you are targeting base on the type of traffic you have chosen. You can also target people’s interest and likes, which allows for more deep targeting. Base on your industry you can target people that contain the interest and likes that are related to your industry. Example: If you run a coffee shop, target people that like coffee and tea!
STEP3: Set your campaign and pricing
Once you have your ad targeting information in place, next thing you need to do is to decide the name of the campaign and daily budget. Your budget can be charge like adwords, where you pay by clicks or impressions. You can also choose to run your ads on specific days or always.
Done!
All done, your campaign will be live after it is approved by Facebook. Now it’s time for you to test this for real. Go give it a try and see how it works out for you. It’s been great for me and I love it. It’s all about creating eye capturing ad copy.
****More on that later***>>>Above I said I had mix reviews about advertising on Facebook. When it comes to marketing for example affiliate products or trying to get people to buy your services right away when they come to your web page, it doesn’t seem to work to well. Remember people are on Facebook to socialize, keyword *SOCIAL*, most people are not on Facebook trying to buy your products and services.
The best way to approach Facebookers is to give stuff away for free or get them to give you their email address. Also get them to join your Facebook Fanpage. You have to communicate a bit more with the audience and not come across as a sales person when they land on your business page (drive traffic to a landing page on your website). I believe Facebook advertising is all about growing your audience and brand awareness. Facebook right now is the number one traffic site on the planet. You can spread brand awareness like wildfire with Facebook.
The best Advertising and Marketing solution for Facebook is using WildFire. I’ve tested WildFire before and it works very smoothly. Read more about WildFire!
Always make sure you do the following:
Test
No matter what always test your ads. You should create multiple ad versions and run those as well. Test, test, test. This is what successful online marketing is all about. You need to test both text copy and images. The title and the image of the ad are the most important part of the ad.
Analyze
Once you create and launch your campaigns you need to start tracking and tweaking your ads. Use the Facebook insights tool to check interaction with your ad. Facebook Insights measures users exposure and behaviors that are related to your ads and Facebook pages. This allows you to understand the activity of ad respondents and more.
